We welcomed to our studio Prof. Sanjoy Mahajan, who obtained his PhD in theoretical physics from the California Institute of Technology and worked in the physics department at the University of Cambridge. He was also a founding faculty member of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Cape Town, South Africa. Mahajan is author of the book, Street-Fighting Mathematics: The Art of Education Guessing and Opportunistic Problem Solving, published in 2010. He is a visiting associate professor of applied science and engineering at Olin College of Engineering where he is working towards the transformation of engineering education. Mahajan was interviewed by CU Science Update correspondent, Rose Heaphy and the show is hosted by Priscilla Carlson. This is the final show of our 2011 Conference on World Affairs editions.
